B2E Clutch Basketball Rules

 

1. We have a zero-tolerance policy towards verbal abuse of officials. Any player, coach or spectator ejected from a league game will be suspended for one game. Anyone ejected for a second time will be disqualified for the rest of league play.

2. Score table- 

   1. Home team provides clock person.

   2. Away team does the book.

   3. Leave the book at the table so scores can be reported.

3. Rim height is to be set at 10’ for all grades, boys and girls.

4. Quarters: 2- 20 minute halves

5. 1. Clock does not stop except on timeouts and the last 1 minute of the 2nd half only.

   2. 2-minute half time

6. Timeouts: 3 – 30 second time outs. Timeouts will carry over to overtime, but additional timeouts will not be added.

7. Overtime- 2 minutes

   1. Double overtime 1 minute (if no winner then the game is a tie except for tournament play)

8. Basketball Sizes:

   1. All girls’ teams and 3rd-8th grade boys’ teams will use the 28.5-inch ball. Boys 9th grade and up will use the 29.5 ball

9. Fouls: A player will be disqualified after 5 personal fouls.

10. Full court Defense: 

    1. Grades k/2nd Grade no pressing all game​

    2. Grades 3rd/4th No pressing first half

    3. Grades 5th and up pressing is permitted all game​

    4. No team may is allowed to play full court defense with a fifteen point or more lead. Violation of rule” 1st and 2nd offense = Warning, 3rd offense = Team Technical Foul.

11. Zone Defense:

    1. Grades k-4th no zone all game only man to man​

    2. Grades 5th and up zone permitted all game. 

12. Free throws

    1. k-4th Grade 13 foot​

    2. 5th Grade and up normal free throw distance
